Messe Stuttgart organises more than 30 trade fairs and
exhibitions every year and is the eighth largest trade fair company
in Germany in terms of turnover. It is ideal for conferences and conventions,
meetings and fairs, product launches and presentations. With around
2.6 million inhabitants and the highest industrial density of all German
conurbations,
the
Stuttgart region was named in 1999 by the EU as the “leading
high-tech region” in Europe and in 2000/2001 it received the “Award
of Excellence” for innovation.

For more than 50 years, the Stuttgart trade fair centre has been an
important showcase for the innovative, strongly export-orientated
economy in Baden-Württemberg. Today, Messe Stuttgart offers
an attractive area with 16 trade fair halls and around 50,000 sqm
of exhibition space for international trade fairs and exhibitions.
Two modern congress centres, which are perfectly suited to staging
accompanying congresses, round off the offer.
The unique location is another advantage. Messe Stuttgart
International is situated just four kilometres from the city centre
in the immediate vicinity of the recreation area "Höhenpark
Killesberg". High technical and service standards offer the framework
for correct planning, perfect organisation and a successful event.
The heart of Central Europe beats in Baden-Württemberg.
The third largest German federal state is one of the strongest economic
regions in Europe. Baden-Württemberg is home to innovations and
high-tech industry. This federal state has become a synonym for success
and economic efficiency thanks to the largest number of registered
patents, the highest research expenditure and world-renowned companies
such as DaimlerChrysler, Bosch, Porsche, SAP, HewlettPackard, IBM,
Trumpf, Stihl, ABB, Alcatel SEL and Hugo Boss.
In the next few years two aspects will be top of the
list of priorities of Messe Stuttgart, i.e. further internationalisation
of its business and the rapid construction of the planned new state
exhibition centre near Stuttgart airport. The new exhibition
centre, which will have around 100,000m2 of
hall space and cost just under EUR 800 million, will be ready for occupation
by autumn 2006. This planned large-scale project also includes a congress
centre and a multifunction hall.
